Time for an Assassin Leveling Guide!
Notes on this guide:
Creating your characters
Start of by making your Assassin, Priest and a Sage. You will definitely require a sage for Wind and Water endows. If you have elemental katars, you could skip making the sage. Going all the way to a priest is a personal choice. You can stop leveling an Acolyte once he has Agi 10, Bless 10 and Warp-Portal 4.
Novice Grounds
Change area to 'tougher monsters' and kill spores until you hit Job-lvl 10.
Job 1-10
Once you have changed all your chars to 1st job, take your mage to geffen and use this trick to get job 10 easily.
Base 15-45
Head to lhz_fild01 or ein_fild07 and kill Metalling using Firebolt.
Base 45-60
Do the Lost Puppies Quest and Brasilis Dungeon Entrance Quest. This should get you to Base 60. If you do not have Brasilis episode on your server, continue with Metallings on ein_fild07.
Job 40
Finish off the last few job levels at Geographers.
Alternate Leveling without Multi-Clients
If you do not wish to multi-client or if its disabled on your sever, you could try the following places to get to job 40 as a thief:
Base 10-20: Spores, Culverts
Base 20-35: Muka, Pecopeco
Base 35-Job Change: Yoyo, Smokie, Cookie
First few levels after job change
Continue at Geographers or Drosera until the Sage has maxed all the endows. If you have changed your Aco to a Priest, you could lex and kill Siromas for faster exp. Once your Sage has all the endows, you can switch to playing your Assassin.
Preparations
An Assassin is a very easy char and doesn't require much gear for leveling. Begin with a Jamadhar which can be purchased at Morroc Weapon shop. If you server is new, you can skip on Undershirt/Pantie combo as it would be difficult to kill Pasana at ~50.
You should concentrate on getting high Str followed by Agi as you require good damage from Grimtooth. Agi is mainly used for Aspd rather than flee. 174-179 aspd on an Assassin would be perfect for spamming and hit-locking mobs with Grimtooth. Try to get 42 base dex which gives you good hit rate for Juperos.
Start by going to Payon Cave and killing Black-Mushrooms on Level 1 and 2 to get Crystal Blues. 5-6 of them would be sufficient at this point.
Go to Sandman map and kill few of them until you have 1 Rough-Elunium. Head to Payon and convert 2 Blue gems to 1 Red-Gemstone. Give both the Elu and the Gem to an Archer to obtain a Stun-Arrow and a Cursed Arrow through Arrow-Crafting.
Buy few Blue Gems and save your chars at an Inn.
Base 55-60:
The first monster you should be aiming for is Desert Wolf. You can memo and map by taking your priest to Veins->Top. Get water endow using the Crystal Blue and mob ~15-20 of them. Make sure you are using Awakening Potion and Stun Arrows while killing. If done right, the mobs should die in 3-4 Grimtooth and you should be getting very good exp and zeny from Stilletos.
Ignore the Roween and don't waste your time on killing them. Once your mobs is dead, flywing and continue.
If your server doesn't have Autoloot, Roween might be annoying during looting. A simple trick is to un-hide-> lure them away from the loot -> cloak and go back to the loot.
Base 65-70
Switch to Sidewinders if the exp is getting low. They are located 1 map south of Veins. At level 65 you cannot dodge them well enough, so beware and keep them at a distance. Sidewinders take 2 turns to kill since your aspd is low. Mob a few, Grimtooth until the mob scatters, re-mob and kill them. There will be quite a few deaths when doing sidewinders. Do not get disappointed with deaths. You will get better with time.
Base 70-85
Farm few Red-Bloods and go to Splendide. The monster you should be aiming here is Pinguicula. They have fantastic exp and drops. The huge-leafs sell well for repeatable quest and you could use Sharp-leafs to boost yourself to 85. Beware of Vespa on the field. These bees are on steroids and will slaughter you on sight. Just use fly-wings and keep your mob small.
Alternatively, you can go to Piranha. They have very good spawn rate and die very easily. The place is always empty since nobody levels in this dungeon. Beware of the random Waterballs.
Base 80-90
Farm few Wind of Verdure from Grand-Peco for the next place. If you have some spare time, try to get Blue Fish.
Memo the Anolian map(Comodo->right->right->right) and start mobbing Anolians. This map has a very good spawn and the movement speed of Anolians makes them very easy to mob. Some servers have a weird bug which makes Anolians lose aggro after a while. You should report and have it fixed for a much more favorable.
Anolians drop a fair amount of Oridecon and their skins go for 1k+. You should be pulling out very good money and exp on this map. You could try to get to 99 if the map is relatively unoccupied.
Alternately, if you get your hands on an infiltrator, you can try out Rachel Sanctuary. The mobs move very slow and are easy to mob. The Runes sell for 1k each and the Beret go for ~100k. However, you may have to watch out for Hodremlin and the movement speed of mobs make it less efficient compared to Anolians.
Base 90-99
If you really want to master mobbing on your Assassin, you will have to go to Juperos. This map is for the elites and requires lot of patience and practice to get good at it.
I hear people say that you require carded Jur to level at Juperos. That is completely false. With around 110 str and a Jamadhar, you deal about ~400 damage per Grim. With 3x Pecopeco Egg card, the damage comes to ~530. Do you really want to spend 3x5m on each of those cards for such a little boost? If you really want to spend some money, buy 2 fortune swords and swap them for mobbing. Only use the carded Jur if you are killing them using EDP.
The zeny you can farm at this place is ridiculous. Lets say we take 5x rates. That makes Venatu drop Steel and Crest Pieces at 15%. You will be farming a minimum of 50 Steels per 30 mins.
Be prepared for a lot of deaths and moments where you just want to give up. Practicing at such hard places is what separates good Assassins from bad ones.

- 70 Crest Pieces x 3k = 210k
- ~200 Rusty Screw = 60k
- 50 Fragments = 30k
