Coco's MVP Guide: AmonRa

Welcome my MVP Guide featuring Amon Ra.

Points to remember when using this guide:

1. This is an introductory guide for beginners who are new to MVP.
2. This guide shows you the easiest and safest technique to kill the MVP
3. There maybe better ways to take down the MVP.
4. All the screenshots are from RMS Test Server.
5. Please ignore the max-HP and damage from the screenshots as they were increased to help with the screenshot process.
6. Remember the CC Rights and mention the Source.

Amon Ra

Many people avoid this MVP due to the fact that they need Land Protector. However, this MVP can be killed very easily by a Wizard without using LP. I love camping this MVP with my WS for the OCA drop. Moreover, if you have LP, you could get your Assassin/Rogue/Agi-Knight friends and have fun with this MVP.


Skills:

Fire Pillar: Amon Ra surrounds himself with Fire Pillars which do pretty good damage. Remember, Amon Ra can also place Fire Pillar under the char who is tanking at melee range. This skill can be cancelled using Land Protector or Pneuma.

Meteor Storm: The dreaded skill of Amon Ra. This MVP continuously uses Meteor Storm if you are standing within cast range. Although it can be tanked quite easily with Fire Resistance, it gets quite annoying for low HP chars. This skill can be avoided using Land Protector or staying out of Cast Range.

Sucking Blood: Amon Ra randomly leeches 6-9k HP from the target every 2-5 sec. Using Bathory reduces this to 1-2k HP.

Dark Blessing: This skill is similar to Coma and sets your HP to 1 immediately. This is the only skill which has high probability to kill you. This skill can be completely negated using Bathory Card.

Summon Allies: Amon Ra summons a lot of mobs when attacked from ranged. Unlike, other MVPs which summon a limited number, Amon Ra can summon its mobs continuously and can flood the whole map quite quickly.

Best classes against Amon Ra:

1. Wizard + Priest + Bard
2. AutoBolt Sage
3. Whitesmith / EDP SinX

Required Equipment:

• Bathory Card (only for melee classes)

Class Guide:


Wizard:

Amon Ra has a quite high MDef and Staff of Piercing is necessary. However, it can be easily done without it but takes a while longer.

• Step 1: Try to reach the narrow corridor behind Amon Ra.
  
  
  
  
  
  
• Step 2: Set up Bragi and Priest.
• Step 3: Use Safety to avoid mobs summoned by Amon Ra.
  
  
  
• Step 4: Cast Storm Gust and kill the MVP. Do not use IceWall or the MVP will teleport!
  
  
  

Sage:

• Step 1: Get your link and buffs.
• Step 2: Make sure the area around the MVP is relatively clear.
• Step 3: Use Land Protector beneath the MVP and kill it with Auto-Spell Procs.
  
  
  

Whitesmith / EDP SinX / Knight:

The secret behind tanking Amon Ra is using Fire Resistance. Since the MVP has no basic attack, you can swap all your damage reducation for Fire Resistance. Blacksmith class can reach required Fire Resistance easily and can take down the MVP very efficiently. You can acquire Fire Resistance by using the following equips.

1. Skin Tempering(Blacksmith) - 25% Fire Resistance
2. Welding Mask - 10% Fire Resistance
3. Jakk Card - 30% Fire Resistance
4. Valk Shield - 20% Fire Resistance
5. Laib Olmai Card / Water Lily Hat (Water Lily Quest)
6. Fireproof Potion - 20% Fire Resistance

Average Kill Time:

EDP Sinx: 2-3 minutes
WhiteSmith: 2-3 minutes
Wizard: 5-10 minutes
Sage: 5-10 minutes
