Coco's MVP Guide: Lord of Death

Welcome my MVP Guide featuring Lord of Death.

Points to remember when using this guide:

1. This is an introductory guide for beginners who are new to MVP.
2. This guide shows you the easiest and safest technique to kill the MVP
3. There maybe better ways to take down the MVP.
4. All the screenshots are from RMS Test Server.
5. Please ignore the max-HP and damage from the screenshots as they were increased to help with the screenshot process.
6. Remember the CC Rights and mention the Source.

Lord of Death

Lord of Death is a highly abused MVP since it spawns in a town i.e. Niflheim. Some servers have access to healer NPC in Niflheim which makes it even more easy to kill this MVP. Lord of Death has very high Def and Mdef making it very difficult for Melee Class or Wizards


Skills:

Hell's Judgement: A very powerful attack which can easily wipe the party. The skill has a slight delay between the skill-hit and the actual damage taken. Hence, you can survive by using teleporting as soon as the skill hits you. The skill can be blocked by Safety Wall if standing within 4 cells, and by Pneuma if standing outside 4 cells. Lord of Death uses this skill every 10 seconds.

Grand Cross of Darkness: A skill similar to regular Grand Cross which does pretty average damage. It is only troublesome if you are in Melee Range. The skill can be avoided using Bathory Card.

Agility Up: If you are tanking it in Melee Range, LoD uses this skill when it reaches 30% HP. This skill heavily increases the HIT required to attack the MVP, thus forcing you to use Mummy cards or wait until the skill cancels. The skill can be cancelled by using Quagmire/Dispel.

Power Up: Similar to other MVPs. Just avoid getting hit by its attacks when LoD uses it.

• Lord of Death Card

Best Classes against LoD:

1. Monk
2. Hunter
3. Stalker

Class Guides:

Monk:

• Step 1: Save yourself and your slave chars at Niflheim Inn.
  
  
  
  
   
• Step 2: Lure the Lord of Death to the Inn portal.
• Step 3: Lex and Portal Asura. Using uninterrupted Cast helps (Phen/Morph Set).
  
  
  

Hunter:

• Step 1: Save at Inn.
• Step 2: Lure the Lord of Death to close proximity of the Inn.
• Step 3: Snipe Lord of Death and use Fly Wing/ Bwing when it reaches you.
  
  
  

Stalker:

• Step 1: Save at the Inn and bring lots of flywings.
• Step 2: Use Eske on Lord of Death. (Eske also helps remove the competition)
• Step 3: Kite the MVP within its view range until it uses Hell's Judgement.

Melee Class:

To successfully kill this MVP with Whitesmith / Lord Knight, you will need access to Ice Pick or Brocca. Use the similar tactic mentioned in my Atroce Guide and defeat the MVP.



Average kill time:

Champion: 1-2 minutes

Sniper: 3-5 minutes

Stalker: 2-3 minutes (using Eske)
