Coco's Whitesmith Guide

Welcome to my 2nd guide.

After few requests from player, I am writing a guide on my main class i.e Whitesmith. This guide is intended for new players who would like to play around with Whitesmith. I hope you enjoy reading it.

What is a Whitesmith and Why play it?

Good question. I will let you watch this video made by my mentor Wheel, who helped me learn everything about the class and inspired me to stay with it.

Now that you have a clear understanding of a Whitesmith, here is my opinion on top MVP classes.

  • Whitesmith: These guys are pure MVP class who can solo most MVPs and require minimum support. Mostly, the only support you need would be a High Priest.
  • Champions: Champs do very high damage with Asura but usually need a lot of alt chars to reach that damage. They always have to dual a bard + dancer and require professor to kill MVP's inside a dungeon.
  • Creators:  Theey are the only chars who can compete with Whitesmiths and usually out-damage WS if they have a bragi. However, they need hours of farm and brew just to have 5 mins of pure joy.
  • High Wizards: Sure, there are some really good HW like Poom who could solo Keil and Bishop, but if there is any competition, they will lose out to the other 3 classes.
  • Stalkers: Well, these chars are pretty good at high-tier mvp, considering they can do them with no gears. They do lose out to competition and are very ineffective at low-mid tier MVPs.

Skill Guide:

  • Cart Termination:

This is the bread-and-butter skill of Whitesmith.

The aspd of CT is capped at 186. However, this assumes you are playing at 0 ping. With ping around ~50-100 you will be hitting at 184 aspd. The most comfortable choice is 183 with Bison Horn/BG medals. The bare minimum aspd should be 181. Anything lower is too slow and will result in lower DPS.

The choice between 183 and 181 usually depends on how much support you have. For example, if you are going to be on devo for all MVPs you would rather aim for the highest aspd by sacrificing vit. However, if you duo with a priest, good amount of health is required to survive the Earthquakes and damage from MVP. Also remember, the difference on 2 aspd matters when you are finishing the MVP within the cooldown of Earthquake.

  • Power Maximize:

This skill deserves a special mention since I have seen many people not using it. This skill should always be switched on whenever you are using CT. There is a huge DPS difference if you do not use it.

  • Other Skills:

Take all the battle skills used by blacksmith and switch them on for MVP i.e. Adrenaline Rush, Weapon Perfection, Power Thrust, Crazy Uproar and Maximum Power-Thrust.

Stats

  • Str
Str is your main stat for your damage. The minimum str for a MVP WS is 120(with bless). If your finances are good and you have a great guild to support you, you should try for 130 str. Using foods and armor enchant can help you reach 140.
  • Agi
The main use of agi is for aspd. Flee is just the by-product and a Whitesmith shouldn't depend on fleeing any monsters. Get enough agi for 181 or 183 aspd.
  • Dex
You will need a minimum of 58 dex for a good hit rate on MVP. If a specific monster requires more hit, you could add a Mummy card in your Giganto Axe. Remember, MVP can be Quagmired. So use wizards in your guild to your advantage.
  • Vit
Your main survival stat. All the remaining points should go here. Generally around 9-10k hp is a good amount. However, certain MVP like Valk and Bapho will require you to have 15.5k hp to tank its Earthquake.

Weapons

These weapons are sorted from best to worst. You don't have to aim for the best weapon. Choose what you can afford and gradually upgrade it.

  • Ice Pick

The true MVP weapon. There are 2 ways to farm this weapon: MVP and Hugel Race. If you are on a very low rate server or don't have people to help you, Hugel Races for ~20 days can get you an Ice Pick. Else, you will have to kill RSX, LoD and Assassin Cross to get this weapon.
Also, if you use this as your main weapon, you will have to make a linker and open dungun access on linker too.
  • +10 Orcish Axe[4x Zipper Bear]

This should be your main one-handed weapon if you cant afford an Ice pick. This weapon allows you to use a shield, thus reducing ~30% damage and helps you get the combo aspd from Bison Horn.
  • Mes

A good alternative to Orcish Axe if you have a Linker on dual-client. With this weapon and Bison Horn, you can reach 183+ aspd with just 1 Agi. Use this weapon if you are comfortable in bringing your linker along with you for MVP runs.
  • Giganto Axe

If you want to go full offensive and do not have a Bison Horn, use this weapon. This weapon is my main tool while farming Mavka/Raydrics.
  • Berdysz/Bardichi

A good filler between Orcish and Giganto. Its pretty easy to farm and I usually try to get this weapon when I am done with Two-Handed Axe.
  • Two-Handed Axe

Don't under-estimate this weapon. I usually reach ~90 just by using this weapon alone. It works fine on Orc Hero while you farm your Giganto.
  • Heart Breaker

A seriously underrated weapon. I have seen many Whitesmiths just stand there when RSX uses Agi Up. Just switch to this weapon to add DPS using Crits.
  • Hurricane Fury

An extremely overrated weapon. The aspd shouldn't matter if you build your WS right. I suggest you let this one go.

Builds

Ah, the most controversial section of any guide. Instead of giving you a single build, I would like you show how you can build up your Whitesmith.

  • All the build shown work very well for MVP. Each one has its own advantages and disadvantages i.e. aspd, max hp, defense.
  • Choose a build which you are comfortable gearing and upgrade your equipment slowly.
  • All the builds exclude armor enchantments.
  • I have excluded foods. Some food are very easy to get i.e. Bomber Steak. Check out your server's market and include them in your build.
  • I have excluded armor cards. The 3 most useful cards for MVP are Bathory, Marc and Porcellio.
  •  Mix them up, add your custom equipment and master the Whitesmith Class.

Minimum Equips needed for MVP

  • This is the starting equipment good enough for Eddga, Phreeoni, White Lady and Orc Hero.
  • Starting out with these equips also helps you to calculate your finances before taking out a MVP. For Example, spending 100k on Phreeoni has a good chance on returning 1m+ if you get Fortune Sword.

Low Cost Build

Medium Cost Build

High Cost Build

Well, there you have it. Introduction, skills, weapons and builds. I will try making a different guide for leveling a Whitesmith. I hope you guys enjoyed the reading it and I hope it helps you understand and appreciate the Whitesmith class.

Please respect the CC right and mention the source if you use this guide elsewhere.

The End~

  3. Hi, based on your last high end build, str 98, vit 83, dex 57, the rest 1 stat, I am not able to achieve aspd 185 with the same equipment as yours. Could there be any custom item in your server? I am using this calculator http://calcx.wushuang.ws/?caAbLbibKabbva5ababHbaajXefqaaaaaalnehHaaaaaapyaad5aauRnyaanDgwnEe4p1aalZbNeeeealbbkffffffaabkkaaaaaafqkcfcc0aaaaHaaaa

    1. Yea, the white ones are pretty easy. Just give 1 CT and auto attack till death. For the brown ones, you gotta CT them till death.
The valk are pretty hard and the other green things are waste of time.
It does burn quite a lot of money but the profits are very high.

  11. Hey Coco. Great awesome guides! Reading most of em. One question though, for PvM/MVP which axe you recommend if the server banned the Giganto Axe? I currently have a +5 Quad Diligent Orcish Axe. Is it good enough if i pair it with magni's cap set? Or should i find something like Doom Slayer or Berdysz/Bardiche? Thank you in advance <3
