Assassin Cross Guide for Beginners

ASSASSSIN CROSS GUIDE FOR BEGINNERS

In this guide, I wana give people new on the Assassin Cross(a lot are in pRO) so that they will not have a mistake in their builds and to give them ideas on how to build their own special build to call their own. But also especially for them not to get an excuse that there is no Assassin Cross guide to help them. Before that here is first a message in which I would like to push in the minds of the readers of this guide; NO BUILD IS GOD BUT HAS IT’S OWN SPECIAL CHARACTERSITICS THAT MAKES THE BUILD “YOU”. All builds are actually fun to play in the Assassin Cross, which is one of the reasons for it to be my favorite build. This guide isn’t perfect but it has the main points on how Assassin Cross builds work. Changes may incur because of the chaos and diversity the game gives. Mostly this is for pRO players who have pretty much no idea on how the Assassin Cross works at all. This is based on all the the experience and stickies I have read for the past 5 months of studying RO builds and especially the sin X builds. I hope you guys can find this useful and insightful. Take note I have made all the builds of The Assassin Cross except for SB so these are actualy knowledge based on experiences and ideas I have collected in my noggin.

Skills:
Advance Katar Mastery
- Adds 20% to your katar based ATK.
- A must for all Katar based Sin X; Crit-Lock/Sonic Blow
Enchant Deadly Poison
- Adds 400% damage to your ATK, lasts 60 secs
- If drunk, adds the same as a berserk potion ASPD for Sin X but sadly lasts 60 secs too
- This what makes our attacks so Godly and fearsome
Create Deadly Poison
- Create poison Bottles
- Dex is more dominant than Luck in brewing
Meteor Assault
- STR based area of 5x5 skill
- 55% to status effect; stun and blind
- Does not stack up with status effecting cards
- 440% damage at lv 10
- Will miss, so get 2 ancient daggers. This is very nice in PvM
Soul Breaker
- Combines the ATK and INT into one super ATK
- Will be explained more later

Guide Builds:

Crit-Lock Build
As the name states you lock the opponent down with critical blows hence they cannot move nor use skills (During WOE) until they die. The most annoying build against Knights, Wiz and Priests. Can be made to kill or just to lock down opponents depending on how you balance your stats. There are 2 kinds;

Pure Crit-Locker:
STR: 60-70
AGI: 80-above, usually 90+
DEX: 30- below
LUCK: 80-above
VIT: 50-Minimum, but 40 is ok if yo cant help it. 50 is safer
-With this build, your ASPD is so fast and your crits are so consistent that no character will be able to escape you until you die by his hands. Although not really meant to kill but to annoy priests because of their relatively low STR. With its 80 Luck, infil is abused a lot and I do mean a lot. It boosts the damage significantly.

All arounder Crit-Lock/ Crit-Lock and SB:
STR: 90-above
AGI: 80-above
DEX: 30-above, no excuses, 30 is the minimum
LUCK: 60-above
-Most common build around, with a minimum to crit-lock of 175 ASPD yet the damage of crit is insanely high. Known also as one of the most notorious emperium breakers because of the insane damage this build dishes out per crit..around 2k plus sounds good? This build is also known to be a half SB-ing build because of its relatively high str, SB damage is still very high and feared. The most versatile build for a sin X.

Crit-lock Lvling Guide:

Lvl 20-lvl40:Comodo:Hydra, Thara
Lvl 40-lvl60: Comodo: Thara, Alligator
Lvl 60-lvl80: Clock Tower: Alarms, Comodo: Fur Seals, Umbala: All Monsters
Lvl 80-lvl99: Turtle Island: All Turtles, Niffleheim: All Monsters, Comodo: Medusa

Last Notes:
-Crit-locks are for the more traditional people and yet this is a very powerful and versatile build to use. This is where you use cloaking to its fullest, trying to maneuver your way around Sights or Ruwachs until you are able to get to you target. Once locked by one of this builds, it only takes a few second before you can disappear and it will cloak and hunt another one again.

Soul Destroyer Build
A very very very popular build for 3 reasons; 1) Cheapest build to manage, aside from the Ice Pick, 2) People in pRO like to see huge damage in one hit, 3) Fastest build to lvl. This is a build which combines its ATK and INT to blast the opponent with an energy to burn his body to dust( bwahahahahah!). This build is very notorious in PvP for its cunning and annoyance to many jobs, 2 SD sin X build and 1 priest can take out one entire party like as if they were nothing.

Soul Destroyer Damage Formula:
Physical attack damage = physical attack damage x skill level
Magic attack damage = [(skill level x INT) x 5] + random damage (500~1000)
Total damage = physical attack damage + magic attack damage
Magic Part:
- It considers no element, but not neutral element
- But it will affect by pneuma.
- Will not effect by any card (Hydra, Skeleton Workers...).
- Formula of damage is depends on INT but not MATK.
- Ignore Magic defense and Mdef
Physical Part:
- This skill consider as neutral element physical long range attack
-Affected by pneuma (priests are happy =p)
- Can miss
- Element can be effect by weapon or skill (Aspersio or Enchant Poison) and also Sage's skill
- Soul Breaker will not affect by status card
- Weapon attack damage will be effect size cards
- Attack damage will not effect by card like Hydra or Santa Poring Card
- Enchant deadly poison will not effect soul breaker damage.
- The damage will decrease by enemy defense.
- Advanced Katar mastery does increase Soul Breaker damage for physical part.
-The over upped weapon for the right hand wepon will affect damage also (+10 weapon on right hand dapat dyan)
-On the left hand wepon ATK of the weapon does not affect
-EDP does not affect SD damage at all so don’t ask this question anymore

Soul Destroyer Build
STR: 80-above
INT: 95-above
DEX: 40-Above
VIT: As high as possible
LUCK: 1
AGI: 1
-No need for more explanation here. Cloaking is still a big part of this build but not as intensive as short ranged builds. With an Ice pick, this is a powerhouse against high defense builds. Damage in PvP may be insane but unfortunately in WOE, it is reduced badly, but with Ice Pick damage is reverted back high again. This build with enough DEX is perfect to be half Sonic Blow.

Lvl 40-lvl60: Undersea: Hit Marse, Obeneau.
Lvl 60-lvl80: Comodo: Alligaotr, Fur Seal/ Clock Tower: Alarms
Lvl 80-lvl99: Turtle Island: All Turtles

Sonic Blow Build
This is a very straight forward build yet the most feared build of them all. One SB with EDP on and you will realize how much you have to fear Assassin Crossess. This is aimed to kill in one SB and if now deal insanely high damage more than 20k! This is Stealth killing at its best! For this build nothing matches against an over-upped Infiltrator

Sonic Blow Attack (My perspective f a good build)
STR: 99
VIT: The Rest
DEX: 80-Above
INT: 1
LUCK: 1
AGI: 1
-Why 1 AGI only? what about ASPD of SB? DEX adds ASP and is already enough to SB continuously, but who needs to when your target is lying in a pool of blood >

Sonic Blow Lvling Guide:
-This is a big problem for all Sonic Blow Sin X. We are the hardest type of Sin X to level. Why? Its because we have no AGI. I suggest you wear Mocking to when u low level. This is because it will increase your flee and low lvl monsters usually will miss with mocking Manteau and improve dodge. After that, Raydric would be better. I am sorry if the lvling guide isn’t much help, its just so hard to find a good lvling spot for builds like this. Depend on over-upped equipments pls and use daggers for lvling

Lvl 40-lvl60: Undersea: Hit Marse, Obeneau.
Lvl 60-lvl80: Comodo: Alligaotr, Fur Seal, Geffen Field: High Orc
Lvl 80-lvl99: Geffen Field: High Orc, Clock Tower: Alarms

Double Dagger Build
Want to see big damage per double attack that will make your eyes pop out? Then this is the build for you. Notorious as the fastest and the most deadly against Emperiums and High Defense Chars(Provided you have Ice Pickof course). This is the only build that I have seen take down a VIT knight in mere seconds as if he was cutting a slab of beef. This build is the second fastest lvler because of its high STR and wide choice of wepons, this build can lvl virtually almost everywhere a Crit Sin X can lvl. During WOE this builds main target is only one thing, Emperium (in pROEmpelium =p) With a Cranial buckler, this will last the longest in emperium breaking and the fastest thanks to the evil weapon Ice Pick.

Double Dagger Build
STR: 90-Above
AGI: 80-above
DEX: 60-Above
LUCK: 1
VIT: 60-Minimum
-I am not sure on how much DEX is sufficient but I kow that 60 is the minimum and anyway we can just wear some Ancient dagger for hitting high agi builds.

Tactics:
-In this section, this is all based on my experience so you may have yor own tactics or playing styles of your own. I have 3 character builds you see SB, SD and Crit-Lock so I have been busy in vP rooms to come up iwht nice tactics for the Assassin Cross. lease take note this is from purely experience

Crit-Lock
Paladin- This job is also a very hard job to kill. Especially if the pala has shield reflect. You will do more damage to him but he has more life and will reflect MUCH more damage to you. Just Ignore unless you have a high lvl than him.

Lord Knight - Easy as pie

High Wizard - This job I would say is rather easy to kill. As long as you get near him. First thing you need is a marc card. Cloak all the way to the High Wizard. And make sure you have EDP on. Just time his sight in just the right time, in WOE wizards rarely cast sight at first so better get to him first.

Scholar/Professor – Pretty much the same as the wizard but harder. This is the hardest magical build you will come across because of its very high VIT( If it is support of Course).

Sniper - This job is a easy job to kill to me but still do not underestimate them.

Clown - This job has quite high VITso it won't be so easy to kill. Still the same as the sniper but will go down very easily in the end once you lock on to him.

Gypsy -This job also has a lot of VIT. This job is mainly for support so it will not really hurt you much.

Whitesmith - This is a big problem. Once these people break your weapon, all I can say is you're OWNED!. Anyway, main thing in fighting this job is golem cards, without is we are as good as dead.

Creator – Please ignore because of its potion pitcher, he will out post you

Assassin Cross – It now comes down on who has more pots and has better equips and lvl but. The trick is having a jump start advantage, Cloak and surprise with a back attack, this will hive you an early blows so you will have better chances of winning. Against SD sin X, we rock against them, sight clip is the key hear because remember physical part of their attack will miss us so the SD damage wont be that high(Especially in WOE) cast ED instantly and sight then follow and lock it. Sadly it would be kinda a waste of poison because they will die easily in your hands. Same with SB builds. Its all about surprise here.

Stalker – Your worst nightmare. If one on one, decline, because of its strip, before we can kill him we have nothing but the clothes on out back. Again cloak is your best friend and do a back attack and usually you can get him before he can strip you bare. It works for me loads of times

High Priest– Well do I have to explain how to kill jobs like this? Usually we ignore them but I don’t. In WOE this guy can be easy, Kill first his party members(First, do factor in the number and the kind of party members he has but usually he is alone walking in the castle to get to the emporium, which is pretty dumb) then him but in PvP, he is difficult to kill. Usually in a party so you cannot kill his party members first because he can just resurrect them all. So if he has a party, run but if not kill him! He has a lot of defensive spells to cats and heal so its just about running his SP or until he realizes he can never win against your crits against him and just gives up.

Champion– This is very tricky to kill for our build. I usually ignore this guy but I would attack if he has no spirit spheres. Soft enemy but deadly. You would be surprised that some monks are to lazy to bring up all the time their spirit spheres. If he Body Relocate then you cloak and try again, if he doesn’t put his spirit spheres up from then on...

Soul Destroyer
Paladin – With Soul Destroyer as a range technique, its all about using up the pots of this guy and with Ice Pick you can own him easily. He cant touch you at all!

Lord Knight- Hard to kill but you wont have much trouble with this guy. Basic tactic, Sd then Cloak.

High Wizard – Another Easy job to kill. Usually one SD will do. If not then maybe you can Grimtooth him to death or SB then SD.

Scholar/Professor – Pretty much the same as the wizard but harder. This is the hardest magical build you will come across because of its very high VIT( If it is support of Course).

Sniper - This job is a easy job to kill to me but still do not underestimate them. 1 SD usually OWNS this guy because most builds are AGI but if this guy is VIT based then better, change to Ice Pick then SD again. These guys don’t usually have high HP so I guess one SD will do even without an Ice Pick to tell you the truth.

Clown - This job has quite high VIT so use Ice Pick to kill. Still the same as the sniper, they don’t really have that high of an HP but Ice Pick is just for God measure here

Gypsy -This job also has a lot of VIT. This job is mainly for support so it will not really hurt you much.

Whitesmith – Ice Pick is still king here, you are far away form him so that he cannot destroy your equipment and you do quite high damage, how about that? Nice huh?

Creator – Well same as a Whitesmith but if you don’t kill this guy in one hit, which i doubt then he can just pot himself so ignore him

Assassin Cross –against AGI, he is bad ( I have a tactic for them already), against VIT he is good and against self, use sight clip and SD him(Equip your Ice Pick) and keep the sight on him and SD him again. Against AGI here is a little tip, try using envenom and stun the guy then SD! By the time he is out of stun you may be able to SD him twice and it only takes 2x SD to kill one.

Stalker – I have not tried using an SD against this guy but if I am thinking correctly. Surprise them always and make sure you are always far from him as possible. But my best tip for you against this one is…ignore

High Priest –Ignore, simple as that, even with Ice Pick he can just re-heal again, it will be an endless battle to tell you the truth

Champion – 1 hit KO is a must but not really possible,if not get as far away as possible and SD then run away and cloak then repeat again. KEEP YOUR DISTANCE AT ALL TIMES!!. I have not forgotten their body relocation skill that’s why I do not recommend fighting this job as an SD

Sonic Blow- by: Eternety~4ever-unedited
Paladin - This job is also a very hard job to kill. Especially if the pala has shield reflect. If he has a Tao Gunka card just run. You will do more damage to him but he has more life and will reflect MUCH more damage to you. But that is a hard card to get. Anyway, a pala is juz like a LK, it has a lot of life. Paladins can't do alot of damage to you unless its a Sacri Pala or maybe a GC Pala. You can just ignore tanking palas.

High Wizard - This job I would say is rather easy to kill. As long as you get near him and Sonic Blow him, 99% sure that you will kill him in one hit. The problem is getting near him. First thing you need is a marc card, especially if you're the one attacking the castle. This is because the high wizard will be casting Storm Gust so u gotta have marc. But if you don't have it is OK. Juz make sure you don't get hit by the Storm Gust. Cloak all the way to the High Wizard. And make sure you have EP and EDP on when you Sonic Blow him. Even if he is casting Sight, it will be useless by the time you're near him. If you can't kill him in 1 SB then just add another SB in.

Scholar/Professor - This job is a near impossible job to kill but not impossible. Nothing is impossible to me. After much this discussion, the best way is to kill other jobs first. If you are left with the scholar alone then just try your best to Sonic Blow him to death and hope that your team mates will be able to finish him off.

Sniper - This job is a easy job to kill to me but still do not underestimate them. They can be deadly. If you're up against a FA sniper than it would be harder to kill because they wear thara guards. Their FA shouldn't bother you much. If you're up against a SS sniper it would be much easier. This type of sniper you can 1 hit KO almost for sure. So, the way is just to cloak near and Sonic Blow. If not 1 Sonic Blow i bet 2 will be enough. If you are up against a high agi sniper, quickly change to triple mummy jur or double mummy katar(as long got mummy). If not then you will sure miss.

Minstrel/Clown - This job has quite high vit so it won't be so easy to kill. Best thing you can do is just Sonic Blow all the way.

Gypsy - Just Sonic Blow all the way. This job also has alot of Vit. This job is mainly for support so it will not really hurt you much.

Mastersmith/Whitesmith - This is a big problem. Once these people break your weapon, I can say this.....you're doomed. Lol. Anyway, main thing in fighting this job is golem cards, but if don't have golem cards then i guess the only way you can beat them is through 1 hit KO. Which is possible. Golem cards make it safer for us.

Biochemist/Creator - This one I'm not very sure of. Most of the creators just make pots. Waiting for opinions

Assassin Cross - Ok. This is a little bit tricky. If you are up against a agi crit sinx, i suggest you just cloak away because it will be hard for you to hit him. Unless you play very high dex or maybe a triple ancient jur. Besides that, their flee is too high. Against SBK sinx, you don't have to worry that much. Cloak to him, EDP +EP and then Sonic Blow him. Give him a few blows. His SBK won't hurt that much. Against ourselves? SB SinX. What do we do? I guess you can poison him then go for a finishing blow. If not just play SB with him and pump a few seeds.

Stalker - This job is quite dangerous. They can full strip you, but it won't be that easy for them. This is because we have quite high dex. So, you can just cloak to them and Sonic Blow them. If they don't die in 1 blow, give them another. What i can suggest if they already stripped you is to just SB them. It won't be that painful but it will doesn't waste ur DP bottle. But if you're up against a stalker and a gang of other people. Just run.

High Priest - This job is quite hard to kill. Especially in PVP because of assumption. The good thing is they can't do anything to kill you. So 1 v 1 with this job is meaningless. So if you're up against a group of people and you wanna kill the high priest first then first thing you got to know is cloak. Make sure the high priest doesn't lex aeterna you. I'm sure 1 SB will not be enuff to kill a high priest. Since it should be a group versus group battle, then you can ask ur frens to deal some damage while you deliver the final and painful blow.

Champion- This is a job which is almost same with us. Playing with the 1 hit KO thing. So mainly its whoever hits first wins. We have cloaking to our advantage and they have dash. Mark my words. Do not go to a champ who has ruwach on. Trust me, they can cast asura as fast as lightning. If you can tank an asura then it'll be no problem for you. Make sure they don't decrease agi you too. If you are not too sure whether you can 1 hit KO a Champ then put a hit in before you finish of with a Sonic Blow.

Note: I copied this guy for this part because he is a real expert on the SB Sin X. Sensei~
Double Dagger
Paladin – Look up at Crit-Lock

Lord Knight -Can you say Swiss Cheese?

High Wizard – Ignore, impossible to kill fast enough bfore he can cast a spell bu in WOE possible as long as you keep at him.

Scholar/Professor – Pretty much the same as the wizard but harder. This is the hardest magical build you will come across because of its very high VIT( If it is support of Course).

Sniper – Well, its kinda a 50/50 chance here because the problem here is being able to hit the char, if he is a VIT build then no problem but if AGI then you have a problem

Clown - This job has quite high VIT so use Ice Pick to kill. Still the same as the sniper, they don’t really have that high of an HP but Ice Pick is just for God measure here

Gypsy -This job also has a lot of VIT. This job is mainly for support so it will not really hurt you much.

Whitesmith – Ignore, unless you have some golem weapons, then you have a chance

Creator –Much easier than a Whitesmith, just keep on attacking him and its ok if he pots, With an Ice Pick your damage is very high and he will be too busy healing himself and trying to get away from you

Assassin Cross –Against Crit pls ignore, against SB ignore but if against a SD then use my tactic as a crit-lock and you will kill him in secs.

Stalker – Look at my Crit-lock tactic.

High Priest –With an Ice Pick you will be doing insane damage to this guy, it may be long but you can kill him

Champion – Ignore indefinitely

-She gave us this forumla so give tnx to her.
Original formula for success rate is this: base + base * DEX/50 + base * LUK/100

VIT & LUCK Fromula for Status Protection

-LUCK does protect you form status ailments also, veeyr 3 luck gives you 1 VIT and every 1 VIT is 1% defense against Status ailments.

VIT+(LUCK/3)=%Protection

Note:
I hope you found that helping, If there is a mistake pls pin-point it out and we don't have to be rude about it too, am not perfect you know? You can post your builds here and I can help you correct them. Get creative and make your own build. Being the best is not having the best build or the best specified build, I consider being the best if you go out of the norm and make your own. and it does the job as you made it so, thats being a good player and having the best build!

  1. isnt crit lock build full of flaws??? because of the low dex... it lacks of hit rate... there would be a lot of miss..

    1. not really full of flaw... but one major flaw... xD

    3. Crit ignores Flee and Defense. So basically, even if a monster had 600 flee, if you have 100% crit, you will never miss.
