The Agility Knight

My Rant - You may ignore this
I've been through quite a number of Posts here, I've seen quite a sum of Agility wannabes', but when questioned if they want to PVP, and they say yes, quite sadly, they're led to believe Vits (Vitality) are the better way to go.

True, Vit Variants are, no doubt, one of the better PVP Builds you see in hardcore WOE/PVPers. Why? Vit simply triplifies the main qualities of a Knights High Defense (Armour) and High HP (Health). Ten points of Vit can bring out a whole lot of difference in a Knight than any other Job. And seeing as Vit really is the PVP stat, no PVPer should skimp on this.

Of course, Vit Knights (shall we call them Lancers) have they're own Disadvantage, but in comparison, in WOE/PVP, these Cons brook no threat, and are easily replaced. Such as the Lancers cumbersome speed, replaced by Pecos, which of course grant them a permanant Agi Up. Slow a Attack Speed can also be fixed through constant Skill-Spamming and Int, through the Usage of Blue Potions.

Thusly, what I am trying to say here, is that all-out, Vit actually beats Agi's in terms of PVP (Note - WOE is another case), so why am I doing this? You guys already know this. Or do you? I've seen some posts asking for Builds, yea, it pisses me off sometimes, frankly because there are 3, three, Stickies up there that gives you what you want to know about Vit Types. But when an AGi Build is requested, it's kinda sad, cos' there are only 2 Builds posted in the Prototype Builds Sticky.

In a totally different note, I have seen many well-known Knights here, The SVD, Dread, and Death Hybrid Knights, but most, if not all, have actually little difference, all emphasises on Vit and Str. So here I am, trying to etch a mark for myself, as well as all you Agi Knights out there.

In any case, there are many, many, many Str/Vit/Dex Knights here that come by different names and such, but none of them really stands out do they? Cause basically, they are just Vit Knights with a little more on some other Stat, an Agi Guide would be refreshing for a change.

In a Nutshell - aka. In Layman's terms
For you Agi Lovers, if you care to PVP, I suggest Hunters, or Assassins, but if you truly believe in Knights (Good choice too!), I suggest you read on.

So here we go~.

Quote:
Here are some simple notes about the Agility Knight.
1. Agi is a Stat pumped as it provides Aspd, not Flee, Knights, like all non Thief/Archer/Acolyte classes, have pathetic flee.

2. The main focus of an Agi Knight is to kill fast, like 5k damage in 3 seconds, it means having high Str and Agi.

3. Agi Knights are not Sins! Luk is a stat used sparingly, do not pump too much!

4. make use of Elemental Weapons and % increasing Cards, with high Str and Speed, you'll be overpowered with these.

5. Make use of Bash and Bowling Bash, sometimes, smashing Mobs can save your life. (Anyway, with high Agi/Dex, you can really Spam these Skills like mad.

6. In the Realm of PVP, you definately lose out to many Jobs, so don't try, unless you got someone to back you up.

7. That doesn't mean we are useless in PVP, a few tactics, some good equips, and you'll be a Bomb in PVP.

8. Lastly, have fun!
Status Points - I've been through this Mumbo-Jumbo before, every friggin' Guide seems to have this, so...

STR - 100 - 110, 120? Are you Nuts? So what if I am? Wanna fight 'bout it?
- Adds 30 Weight per Point.
- Adds 1 damage per Point.
- Adds a huge bonus in Multiples of 10.
~ Increases chance to Joint Beat.
~ All Knight's Skills depend on a high rate of this.

A must-have for Knights, whether Vit or Agi, but I suggest Agis' to go as far as you can for this Stat, try yo outbeat Vits if you can. Why? Because I'd rather you kill faster than spend your time twiddling with the Target. In any case, you have faster Speed, if you have good Damage, you'll be an Insane Death Machine.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

AGI - 60 - 90, Ima lean mean almost-Sin machine!
- Adds 1 Flee per Point.
- Increases Aspd.
~ Affects After-Cast delay of most Knight's Skills.
~ High rate of this allows 2HQ to have more Aspd effect.

Another must-have. But mostly for Agi Knights. I suggest a good rating of this stat, but this is better associated with your Offensive side. But hey, a good amount of Flee doesn't hurt. Please note that you can't dodge Spells, Criticals, big Mobs and Hunters/Snipers.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

VIT - 1 - 50, anything above 50, you shouldn't be reading this.
- 1% HP increased per Point.
- 0.8 points of reduced damage per Point.
- Increases HP regeneration in multiples of 5.
- Increases Healing Item effects.
- Reduces Spell damage.
- Reduces chances for Poison, Stun and Silence.

Recommended for some Agi Types, sacrifice some Agi for Vit might help in PVP better than you imagine. Excellent for WOE and MVP as it keeps you well alive, pretty good in PVM if you plan on burning Pots. But bear in mind, this is for Agi Knights, if your Vit overtakes your Agi, you aren't an Agi Knight any longer.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

INT - 1 - 20, Yeah, I know you're a Genius if you spend more than 30 for this. (Massacre Knights don't count)
- 1% SP increased per Point.
- 1 point of reduced Magic Damage per Point.
- Increases Sp Healing Item effects.
- Increases Sp Regeneration at multples of 6.
- Increases Stone, Blind and Sleep resistance.

Not really needed, but quite useful is certain situations, 'specially in PVP cos' you'll be Spamming Bash and Bowling bash quite often. (Its better to Spam Skills in PVP than just whacking, you can whack once you run out of SP. Besides, with good Dex and high Agi, you can Bash faster than you imagine.)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

DEX - 40 - 80, omG!!1noshift11!
- Adds 1 Hit Rate per Point
- Reduces cast delay (Skills) and cast time (Spells).
- Increases Aspd, 1/4 that of Agi.
- Increases Minimum Damage
~ High Rate of this allows 2HQ to have more Aspd effect.
~ Reduces Cast Delay (The animations you see before the Skill is executed) of most Knights Skills.

Very good Stat to have. Its not that bad to go as much as as you can, since it increases Minimum Damage and Aspd, it works pretty well for Agi Knights. Added Hit is also a good Idea, carrying a Triple Ancient (Mummy) Bastard Sword in PVP all the time isn't so hot.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

LUK - 1 - 60, if you spend this above 60, you're so gonna need all the Luck you can get.
- Adds 1 Critical Rate per 3 points.
- Adds 1 Perfect Dodge Rate per 10 Points
- Increases resistance against enemy crits by 1% per 5 points.
- Also reduces all Status Ailment chances by a certain rate (Not sure about this though).

Extremely useful for Agi Knights, very recomended for you MVPers and WOEers. Not so useful in PVP though, but its worth a shot. I don't recommend too much of this though, you're better off using a Critical Weapon than having 60 Luk. Besides, Aspd looks as though it increases Critical Rates somewhat.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Quote:
Stats, in a Nutshell.
1. Str is an All-rounder Stat, keep this in a high rate, it gives us our damage.
2. Agi is an Offensive Stat, a high rate is a must-have for Agi knights.
3. Dex is an Equalizing Stat, have an average amount to keep your other Stats in check, you can't have too much Dex.
4. Vit is a Defensive stat, a small amount of this can help alot. Extra Def, resistance and Health is very useful, especially in PVP/WOE
5. Int is a Backup Stat, keep this low, but at least have a few, even Agi's need to spam a few Skills sometimes.
6. Luk is a Bonus Stat, it keeps in the Crits and protects us from them, have a decent amount of this for Critical Variants, very useful for PVP/WOE.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dex Versus Luk. The lowdown. Norwegian's version =).
Sure, I copied the Title, ran out of witty names.

Quote:
On the Count of Luk/Dex arguement, I shall detail on each -

Dex -
-Aspd Boost, 1/4th of Agi.
-Adds damage, 1/5 of Str.
-Adds Hit Rate, 50 Adds 50 Hit, which is alot, 75 Hit if in conjunction with Concentration.
*Substat: Hit
+To Hit a Target 90% of the time, Hit Rate has to be Equal to Target's Flee Rate.
+Lucky Dodge isn't affected by Hit, 10% is 10%.
+Hit is increased every Level

Analysis - Dex is a simple, yet effective Stat, less of a Hassle, easier to coordinate, you can see the effects of this Stat quickly, however, SinsXs/Snipers currently have like 240+ Flee, meaning having really high Dex isn't really gonna make much Difference.

Luk -
-Adds Critical Rate every 3 Points.
-Adds Lucky Dodge every 10 Points.
-Natural 1% Lucky Dodge and Crit Rate.
-Crit Rate and Lucky Dodge are both affected through percentages.
*Substat: Critical Rate
+The number of Crit Rates are in Percentage form (1 = 1%).
+Crits ignore Flee.
+Lucky Dodge affects Flee. (10% LD means 10% less Crits/Hit rate)
+Crits ignore Def
+Thara Frog Card, Raydric Card, Poopoo Hat, Energy Coat and Size reduces Crit Damage.
+Every 5 Points of Luk in the opponent's Stats reduces your Crit Rate by 1.
*Substat: Lucky Dodge
+Able to LD Crits and Hit Rate by percentage.
+Unable to LD Skills/Spells.

Analysis - Luk is complicated, and needs time to nurture, Criticals are mostly affected by Cards, for Knights. However, Luk kicks in at high numerals. the differences can really be seen. (60 Luk, 21% Crit, 7% LD.) Crits are awseom against Snipers/SinXs and high Agi lots anyway. Not so good on Cranial/Immune users though. Long-term Stat, if you put more than 9 Points here, than stick to it, don't ignore it.

I went for Dex because I don't like putting too much points into Luk, I prefer more Damage and since Dex adds to damage, naturally I'll place it there. But Crits add damage as well, you say. Well, I won't put 60 Dex! I'll pump to about 55 or so, then slam all-out onto Str.
================================================== ========

The Builds - Bear in mind, I'm not gonna give specific Points to a Build, this is your Character, use your imagination!
P.S. - You'll notice some of the minumum/maximum Skill Points don't add up correctly, that's where you come in, customize it!

Godspeed Knight.
My very first creation, I loved this baby, too bad, he sucked in PVP.

Str: 70 - 100
Agi: 90 - 110
Vit: 1- 20
Int: 1 - 10
Dex: 70 - 90
Luk: 1 - 1

Motive - Pure PVMer, with your Dex/Agi, you should be whacking just as fast as any Sin, you're damage should be decent enough to handle, can't say much about your defense though.

Critical Knight
You wanna be a Quasi-Sin, eh? I'll bet those yellow-red numbers are dazzling.

Str: 80 - 100
Agi: 70 - 90
Vit: 10 - 30
Int: 1 - 1
Dex: 20 - 40
Luk: 40 - 50

Motive - Sure. You wanna be a hotshot Knight with Crits, pretty good idea. By the time you complete your Build, you must be able to Crit at least 40 - 50% of the time, settle for no less, high Damage is also a priority.

Death Knight Hybrid
Goliath's ever-popular Knight Build, of course, the Agi Variant, should do well in PVP.

Str: 80 - 110
Agi: 70 - 80
Vit: 30 - 40
Int: 1 - 1
Dex: 50 - 60
Luk: 1 - 1

Motive - In this Variation, at level 99 you should have around 10k hp, deal alot of damage, and deal it at an incredible pace. (Copied and Pasted ><)

Massacre Knight
My good friend's creation, love the name.

Str: 100 - 120
Agi: 60 - 80
Vit: 10 - 20
Int: 40 - 60 Holy Cow?
Dex: 50 - 60
Luk: 1 - 1

Motive - You like Pierce Spamming? How about some Bash Spamming? 400% nomal attack, 120 Str, Elemental/Carded weapon, low delay time. You do the math.

Berserk Knight
My Build! In accordance to the LK's new, very awesome Skill, Berserk

Str: 80 - 110
Agi: 60 - 70
Vit: 20 - 50
Int: 1 - 1
Dex: 40 - 50
Luk: 20 - 40

Motive - My very own Build, I made this guy according to versatility, a little Luck, and a little Vit, high Str is a must for this Build.

Chainsaw Build
A little bundle of Hybrid Joy.

Str: 50 - 70ish Yea I know, but that's all part of the plan eh?
Agi: 70 - 90
Vit: 60 - 80 Uhuh, uhuh, Vit is da way!
Int: 6 - 18
Dex: 40 - 50
Luk: 1 - 1

Motive - Tsu Shi's Build, I like it well enough to add it here o_O, heh. Anyways, this build specialises in Hybrids. With a mass of Agi to back it up. Its much better to go 2H than Spears, cos with all that Agi, and 2HQ, it'll be the bomb.

Quote:
Get what for what?
PVM - Player vs Monster, aka. Levelling.
PVP - Player versus Player.
WOE - War of Emperium, aka. Guild Wars.
Mobbing - Killing large groups of monsters with AOE (Area of effect) Skills.
MVP - Most Valuable Player, aka. the Big Boys.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Godspeed Knight - Very Fast PVM. Mainly for Mob-killers, don't ever PVP with this, unless you got some Card that gives you Cloaking skill or something. (Exceptions to some Sins, your Dex would probably rip them apart.)
The Critical Knight - WOE, light PVP, good PVM, MVP. Basically a slower GS Knight with Critical whacks, pretty good in Emp Breaking. MVPing should do you good as well, but you obviously need a Party.
The Death Knight Hybrid - PVP, WOE, average PVM, Mobbing. The PVPing version of an Agi Knight, slow leveller, but it can make up since you'll have good HP and average Flee to endure a big group and BB them them apart.
The Massacre Knight - PVP, WOE, slow to good PVM, MVP. The MS Knight usually keeps in some good Sp for constant Skill Spamming, excellent for MVPing. Levelling is slow at first though, amkes up for insane damage potential at higher levels.
The Berserk Knight - All rounder for each aspect (Jack of all Trades, Master of None). Please... this Build is for LKs, it should do well in PVP, MVP and levelling expects though, heck, all Agi LKs would do pretty well anyway. Main focus is versatility, good to have a Priest friend to back you up, since almost all of their Support Skills will help.
The Chainsaw Knight - Deadly hybrid machine. High Agi (Aspd) gives it PVM dominations and high Vit (Def/Hp) allows it PVM madness. However, due to the lack of Str, Dex and Criticals, I can't imagine how horribly it'll do in MVPing.
================================================== ========

Customizing!
I know some of you guys really have a hard time to decide, so here's a lil' Guide on how to customize your extra Points and Cards/Equipment.

Follow your Heart!
Decide on what you like, since it is excess points, it doesn't matter, you like Speed, Flee? Get Agi, you like more Def to your puny Knight, get Vit, mash it all up, ask questions, you'll find you're answer.

What do you need?
Ask yourself. What is my Build lacking? Then fix it. If you get hit often, get Agi, or Vit! Your damage is way too high, but you don't hit, and your Damage is way too random. Get Dex, or Luck! Make a choice.

What if I make a mistake?
Good question. Remember, mistakes are natural, all you gotta do to fix the mistake is try to equalize it. For example, you accidentally added Luck, when you're aiming to make a Goodspeed Knight, it doesn't matter. Since your already so fast, 21, 30 Luk won't hurt for some pretty Crits.

Quote:
Rules of Customization
Right, there are always rules, try to remember them.
-Str, always multiples of 10, nothing else, its versatile with all Stats, whether Int or Dex.

-Agi, works best with Luk and Dex, it doesn't matter if its a random number.

-Dex, Dex is an equalizing stat, multiples of 5, get this with High Str. Good against Mobs with high Def, Dex actually pushes up your Minimum Damage to overtake your opponent's Def (Proven, ever wonder why Archer classes deal so much damage?)

-Vit, Defensive, multiples of 5, very good in PVP/WOE cases. If you plan on having high Vit, I suggest you get Str and skimp of Agi. (Hybrid)

-Luk, Criticals! This is what Luk is all about, multiples of 3, equalize this with a good amount of Agi.
Here is Tsu Shi's Summary of Custumization. Nice one man! /no1

ENJOY!

choice 1: Extreme or Moderate

The question here is whether you will take any stats to an extreme or whether all or most of your stats will be moderate. This will somewhat determine how specialized your character is. Highly specialized charcters would in theory perform very well at certain tasks and very poorly at most other tasks. Moderates have more overall points to distribute, however Extremists have one or a few very high stats. Anyone with a stat at 99 has gone to the extreme, probably one can consider any (pre-buff/pre-equips) stat over 90 to be extreme)

choice 2: Conventional or Unconventional

The question here is whether the general trend of the stats will be enhancing the natural trend of the job or some other job's speciality. Both VIT and AGI would be conventional for Swordy, however CRIT would be somewhat unconventional since that is the natural strength of a sin and is a talent one must sacrifice conventional attributes of a Swordy to acquire.

choice 3: Ranking and Calculating Stats

The first question here is the order of importance of the stats, and in some cases this can pretty certainly be determined by answering question 2. The nomenclature for this answer is simply ordered initials. For example a typical Norwegian Agi Knight is SADVLI. If any of these stats are to be grouped as equals simply paranthesize, for example S(AD)VLI suggests that AGI and DEX are of equal importance. A conventional VIT Sader would perhaps be SVDIAL. As for the actual number of the stats, this is addressed in question 1. If very extreme, start with the number 99 and 1 and plot a line through 4 intervening points, so very roughly it can be suggested that the stats would follow a pattern of 100/80/60/40/20/0, or if using a single group for example 100/75/75/50/25/0. This is of course only a sketch, but a sketch which is suggestive enough to guide one's efforts on StatCalc with the final consideration in mind of optimization of stats, for example, that STR definately benefits optimally in 10's.
Understand one thing abot customizing. Its your Build, your rules, you like it, then its perfect. Remember, every Build has Pros and Cons, there is no Ultimate build.

================================================== ========

The Lord Knight - Omg, finally! I always wanted to do this!

Ok, here's the best part (To me) of this Guide, the Lord Knight Section.

Quote:
To learn all about LK's skills, Job Bonuses, how to Jobchange, whatever, look at Kurowasa's Guide, it's got everythin'.
Now, it's been long, you've been training your butt off for 99 Levels and 50 Job levels, you killed tons of MVPs, and PVPed the most powerful of Warriors, now, get ready to be the Lord Knight, one of the most indestructible Jobs of RO. Hold on to your Sword, Warrior, and proceed with caution...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Quote:
Okay, the main difference about LKs and Ks is that there is a 30% increase in Hp/Sp, and some extra Points (I think its 30% extra points as well, but I dunno, wasn't paying attention.) And well, its also 30% harder to level. But in any case, your HP as of now will be gargantuan, your Speed is actually faster than that of a normal Knight and you now have access to the best skills of a 2H Agi Knight.
I shall begin with the most important Skill of an LK.

Berserk
I cannot begin to stress on this Skill, it makes you immortal, invincible, bloodthirsty, and above all, more destructive than 3 Critsins put together, with this Skill, achieve 185+ Aspd with this or perish in the Realm of PVP.

- MaxHP is multiplied 3. (Means 10000 times 3 = 30000)
- HP is fully recovered (Instantly, take advantage of this), but SP is all gone (That means no Skills)
- You cannot regain HP/SP via natural means for 5 minutes afterwards of the skill (This means that once you run outta health (100HP or less) you better start sucking Pots.)
- ATK + 200% (Double damage)
- ASPD + 30% (An extra Berserk Pot)

- Pernament move speed bonus during skill (Permanant Increased Agility)
- ALL DEF (equip def/mdef, stat def/mdef) set to 0 (You'll die faster)
- Halves FLEE rate (No Flee for you)
- Receives Endure effect (NO interruptions)
- 5% HP reduced every 15 seconds (This means in 15*20 Seconds (300 Seconds (5 Minutes)), you'll run out of HP)
- Cannot chat, cannot use items, cannot receive Heals (When you do, the Heal amount you receive, you will see 0... yes, 0). (You can Create Chatrooms though, (Use the Titles, you still can't chat in it).)
- Cannot change equipments (Use your Weapons wisely, don't use a Fire Claymore on a Pasana Carded opponent).
- Skill will automatically cancel when HP below 100
- Can be used in siege mode (WoE in iRO)

Quote:
Well, to make optimum use of this Skill, you kinda need Brains as well, choose your weapons wisely before Berserking, CONSIDER THE SITUATION, such as when you're fighting a Hunter, keep a Spear in handy, use Spear Boom, it's all you need, a CA/DS Combo owns you when you're Berserked, unless of course you're faster than the Hunter/Sniper
Aura Blade
At Lv 5, adds 100 Def-Ignoring Damage. This Skill is perfect for High Vit Types like Crusaders. (Cranial and Immune reduces it by 45% though, meaning only 65 extra Damage).

Parrying
The perfect Defensive Skill, with this, you'll have 50% Perfect Flee that also blocks Skills, how awesome is that? Even better, it Stacks over Berserk! That means you'll have at least 40% chance to Parry while doing insane damage at the same time! (By the way, it has no Delay, unlike Auto-Guard, so this makes it even sweeter).

Concentration
50% extra hit, 25% extra damage, I'm in Heaven...
Dude, this Skill is possibly a GODSEND to Berserking LKs, it's drawback of Def Reduction is NOTHING, especially since, while in Berserk, you have no Def anyway, and, we have Parry! This Skill negates whatever uses we have for Mummy Cards now, imagine, lv 80, 40 Dex, 120 Hit, plus 60 (3 Mummy Cards), 180 hit easy, Assassins/Rogues are meat.

Tension Relax
This Skill is remotely useful, but it's up to you actually, whether its important or not, it helps, during those nasty after-Berserk problems (Tension Relax can start your Regeneration even just after Berserk (Provided you have the SP for it).)

Now remember, it doesn't matter what Knight Build you have since your Knight days, but different Builds do differ wit the effects of Berserk, the Massacre Knight probably won't do so good, but maybe with Head Crasher or it would, I dunno, never seen it in action, kinda useless anyway, Joint Break only works with Spears, so eh.

Okay, a summary for the Builds for LKs.

Quote:
Godspeed Knight - An all-out offensive Berserk LK, your Speed is beyond mortal comprehension, with an Executioner, you're bound to terminate all Vit Types anywhere. However, you have low health, and no Flee/Def, with is a huge minus to your survivability rate, so it's either kill now, or goodbye.

Critical Knight - Wow, wow, wow, wow. This Job is so beautiful with Berserk, imagine, Critical Hits multiplied by two, your Speed is almost as awesome as a GS knight, this Build however, the fact that using an Executioner negates all effects of Crits, this Build is more MVP-orientated. (Critting with an Exectioner is quite awesome on the other hand.)

Death Knight Hybrid - Yep, the DKH, sub-optimal in PVP now since Berserk is introduced, slower Aspd, pretty much slower actually, however, Vit allows you to take on more than 1 Target at the time, you will last longer before Berserking, allowing you to make full use of your Skills before going Turbo, especially good for Hybrid Typed Jobs.

Massacre Knight - No, no, no, no, no. This Build is no good anymore, scrap this one out, unlike a DKH, your HP cannot sustain long enough punishment before being forced to Berserk, and your Speed is pathetic, your health is sick, your high SP is blown away, get this to Level as a Knight but forget about it when you're an LK.

Berserk Knight - I made this Build to be Versatile, fast and sharp at the same time, moderate health, perfect for 1v1 duelling against all Jobs. However, won't kill as fast as the GS Knight, MVPing is only average compared to C-Knight, won't last as long as DKH, but, it won't suck in anything else either.

Chainsaw Knight - Cool... this Build melds in almost perfectly with LKs, other than the low Damage, this Build can dominate anything that has moderate Def. (Vit Knights are hard to beat though, for this Build. Low damage potential, even Berserked.) MVPing still sucks though.
================================================== ========

Equipment - Now, Equips is an important choice for us Agi knights, bear in mind, Equips really do bring in the bulk of RO, you'll realise that 30% of the time, you'll be hunting (Or haggling other people) for Equips, so here's what makes a good Agi Knight.

  2. Was looking for an AGI Knight build for RO2 and came upon this blog. Bring back so much memories. My main was an AGI Knight in the early RO, and that was about 20 years ago lol... Life as a pure AGI Knight back then is indeed very VERY harsh, but hella also fun. ^^ Can still remember wandering inside Glast Heim and having priest/acolyte buffing me willingly just to see godspeed in action, good times! :,) Maybe this old fart should play RO again instead of trying the new RO2.
